A/N: This chapter is a short prologue! The first two episodes in Voltron Force were cut because there wasn't any changes to make, so I strongly suggest to watch said episodes (that can be found on YouTube) in order to understand some details. Hello Hello! I realized it's been a while since an update and that I haven't formally introduced myself, so here we go.
My name is Toast, sole writer for Succession and art hobbyist! Since you're here, I assume you have my main Tumblr blog, which is where I'm mostly scurrying around. I also have an art blog by the same screen name as here, where I post my work, including some drabbles.
Onto the updates! This is a passion project, please don't expect regular updates as most of my ideas are just that. I try to piece it together for posts, but right now they're too small to use. However, right now I can firmly say I have something I can post! I have extra pages to go with it that will be updated as time goes on, one of which will explain what the post and future posts like it are about.
It hit me that a few of my pages have already been filled out to the point where I could update after publishing them, so that's what I'll be doing. A lot of my silence has been because I didn't want to spoil much, but I remembered that it's based on Voltron Force and the outline of the story is already out.
A thing that's been happening since February is that I started fleshing out what I already had more. I've gone back to episodes I'd already finished and explained them more. Additionally, I started a world building section in my notes to keep track of anything I wanted to potentially add planet and universe wise. I've had trouble with character files, so those are on the back burner while episode rewrites still continue as my main focus.
I apologize for the radio silence on here and hope to update more often! My main blog will likely start housing my floating ideas and what I would like to do with them, so keep a look-out for those. Stay toasty!
I've gotten some much-needed help from my friend on just how the episodes will fit together! Voltron Force is a wreck with how it paces its story, it's my goal to try and fix that so everything makes sense. My original plan was to have 3 seasons, but it became obvious it didn't really work. As of now the rewrite has 4 seasons total! The seasons are split up in 10 episodes each with one overarching issue that is solved at the end of it. So without further a-do, here's the episode layout!
VF:S will have at least a 3 season run! In every season there will be at least one main villain, totaling up to around 4 that the force has to deal with.
At the same time the force will continue to look for cadets to potentially be their successors, the main 3 in the running being Daniel, Vince, and Larmina, though this may be dropped in favor of developing the already big cast more.
Each cadet and pilot will hopefully get development or explanation on how they changed in the last 5 years. This is a tall order, so I'll at least try to explain the 3 cadets first before anyone else unless I can tie them in.
Adding to the character list will be a few side characters that aren't really necessary but add to the "this is a continuation of the original voltron" base of the story. Hopefully side stories will come of them, these will explain how they're tied to the force aside from their jobs and will show the main cast in a slice of life setting aside from their usual action.
As of now, I'm currently working out how the episodes are going to change to make sense with itself and everything I want to add! I'm also trying to write down main character bios to help me show the characters for who they are and not just 'good' or 'evil'. Expect at least a page for a group of them to come out soon!
